Cosmetic Dentistry

Our priority is always the health of your teeth and gums, but we also understand that it’s important for patients to feel confident whenever they smile. If you’ve spent years feeling self-conscious about your teeth, cosmetic dental treatments can be truly transformative.

We offer the following cosmetic dentistry services at our practice:

Teeth Whitening

When we get older, our tooth enamel begins to thin, making teeth appear more yellow than white. Stains and discoloration can also be caused by tobacco use, drinking red wine, tea, or coffee, and even certain medications. Our practice offers both in-office teeth whitening treatments as well as at-home whitening kits to help you smile brighter.

Invisalign

Invisalign allows you to correct your bite and straighten your teeth in a more discreet manner than traditional metal braces—in fact, they’re virtually invisible, so your friends, coworkers, and classmates won’t even realize you’re wearing them. Using a series of clear plastic aligners, this advanced orthodontic system gently straightens your teeth in a gradual manner. Because there are no brackets or wires, Invisalign is more comfortable and convenient than the alternatives. When you’re finished with your treatment, you’ll have a beautiful smile without the hassle of conventional braces.

Dental Veneers

Dental veneers look like your own teeth, only better. They’re made from thin pieces of porcelain that are carefully crafted for a realistic appearance and then bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. We use veneers to correct a wide range of cosmetic imperfections, including teeth shape, gaps, damage, yellowing and stains, and even minor tooth misalignment.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding involves using a tooth-colored composite material to reshape a tooth that is chipped, cracked, discolored, or has other minor aesthetic issues. The result is a restored tooth that looks natural and blends in with the rest of your smile.

Microabrasion

Microabrasion takes a thin layer of enamel off of the teeth in order to remove stains and yellowing.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Dentistry

Is teeth whitening bad for your teeth?

In-office teeth whitening treatments are safe and effective; they are not bad for your teeth. Home whitening treatments that are not approved by the American Dental Association or that are not used as directed can cause tooth sensitivity and wear down tooth enamel.

How long does it take to whiten teeth?

Our in-office teeth whitening treatments will give you a dramatically whiter smile in under an hour.

How long does it take to straighten your teeth with Invisalign?

Every case is different, but it usually takes between nine and 18 months to straighten teeth with Invisalign. That said, because Invisalign only works when it’s being worn, with non-compliance treatment times may be extended.

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

In order to place veneers, a thin layer of enamel is removed from your teeth. This does not ruin your teeth, but it is important to realize that once you get veneers, you will always need them—you can’t go back to your natural teeth without veneers once the enamel is removed.

How long does cosmetic bonding last?

Cosmetic bonding usually lasts between three and 10 years, but this depends on the extent of the bonding and the location of the bonded tooth. Bonding on the front teeth, for example, is often more prone to breakage because these teeth are used to bite.
